Notably, Huawei, a Chinese brand, has gained popularity in Germany and France, with about 10 percent of respondents saying that Huawei is their primary smartphone.

Samsung has beat out Apple in global smartphone sales with a worldwide market share of 27 percent. Apple’s market strategy focuses on the higher-end smartphone industry, while Samsung tries to cast as wide a net as possible.
